Sara Dowling is an NCCPA certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), licensed in New York and New Jersey. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in health sciences at Ithaca College, where she played on the D3 nationally ranked women’s soccer team for 4 years. She went on to attend the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, where she graduated with her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies and completed an Interprofessional Fellowship.

Sara’s interest in orthopaedic surgery began while she was participating in college athletics, when she took an interest in helping her teammates with rehabilitation after injuries and surgeries. She remains active in athletics, and currently runs competitively and plays soccer.

As a student Sara took an interest in medical mission trips, traveling to Masindi, Uganda to set up clinics and treat patients. As a practicing physician assistant, she is able to continue to give back, seeing patients and teaching medical students on an annual trip to Antigua, Guatemala. She is passionate about providing the highest quality care and understands the importance of treating each patient as an individual. In her free time Sarah enjoys staying active by participating in club soccer, intramural sports, boxing and running.
